What a long night its been trying to stay up to meet the sun

While I'm hoping to sail, looking out for that whale
Who is off in the loft of some awful grey ocean bed
It's sad he feels that way, his moans are way too loud
I can hear them from the deck and from the sleeping quarters
Those long lonely words

I eat sandwiches with the whores on the shore
We sleep together every night with out clothes on and the candles out
We talk about the dreams we've had inside out sleeping bags
And how we're bringing in money, somewhat well rested

But where's the quiet? Where's silence?
